City Manager Amy Arrington
Normandy Park Preschool Program
Did you know that the City of Normandy Park has a preschool program?
For almost 35 years, Normandy Park Preschool has become a place where children grow. As part of this Early Childhood Education program, our staff creates an environment where children can grow and develop into their individual and unique selves. Children can learn about science, math, literacy activities, and children’s art. We strive to cultivate a love for learning while acquiring skills they need to be successful in their lives and educational journeys. Normandy Park Preschool is the best place to be!
The framework of our program is supported by research that children learn through play. We have created a rich environment that respects the developmental stages of the preschool child. In our program, children can explore their interests, move within the continuum of skill level in content areas, and develop in areas that aid in processing information, such as observing, problem-solving, organizing, connecting, and exploring. Click here to learn more about the Normandy Park Preschool Program.
If you are interested in your toddler entering the program, the enrollment process for 2025/26 starts soon. For more information on enrollment dates and prices, visit the Normandy Park Preschool Programs.
Join the Parenting Class being offered on January 30th
Join us at City Hall on Thursday, January 30th, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm for a fantastic parenting class with Beth Goss, Parent Education Instructor from North Seattle College. Spend time with Beth and learn how to avoid power struggles and set limits with young children. This workshop will help you improve the quality of communication with your child and learn to interpret the non-verbal cues your child is sending you accurately.
This event is free, but seating is limited. Please register to save your spot! Call the Preschool at 206-248-8249 for more information about registration.
If you have any questions about this or other City topics, please email me at aarrington@normandyparkwa.gov. Have a great week!

By participating in the Citizen Satisfaction Survey, we will better understand what services are important to you and what areas need more attention. Your feedback is invaluable to us, so please take a few minutes to complete this survey. Your voice matters.
