Working Together for Safer Streets: Normandy Park’s Local Road Safety Plan
The City of Normandy Park is taking an important step toward making our roads safer for everyone. As part of the City Council’s 2025 Goals, we’re developing a Local Road Safety Plan (LRSP) to improve safety along our major, federally classified roadways. I want to share what this plan is all about—and how it will benefit our community. What Is a Local Road Safety Plan? A Local Road Safety Plan, or LRSP, is a strategic roadmap that cities use to identify safety issues and take action to reduce serious crashes and save lives. Each LRSP is unique, designed specifically for the community it serves, using local data and best practices in traffic safety. The plan examines where accidents occur or are likely to happen, and what we can do to prevent them. It helps us move away from one-size-fits-all solutions and instead focuses on what will truly make a difference for Normandy Park.

Honoring our Heroes: Normandy Park’s Blue Star Memorial By-Way. As we prepare to observe Memorial Day this weekend, I’d like to highlight a meaningful tribute in our community: the Blue Star Memorial By-Way in Normandy Park. The Blue Star Program pays tribute to all men and women who serve in the United States Armed Forces. We are proud to be home to one of these memorials in Normandy Park.
