Opportunity to serve on the King County Citizens’ Election Oversight Committee
Are you interested in elections and serving your community? If so, check out this opportunity to serve on the King County Citizens’ Election Oversight Committee (CEOC).
The CEOC is a 16-member volunteer group composed of individuals with an interest in or expertise in elections. The committee’s mission is to help maintain public confidence in King County’s elections by promoting transparency, accountability, and strong performance.
The CEOC provides recommendations to the County Council to improve election processes and publishes an annual report with its observations, findings, and recommendations.
The committee currently has an opening for a representative sponsored by either a junior taxing district or a small city, with a term that runs through May 2028. This means the City of Normandy Park can nominate residents for consideration. While the selected individual serves independently and does not represent the City, it’s a great chance to bring a local perspective to this important work.
If you are interested, please submit a completed application and resume to the City Manager for review. All applications will be reviewed, and selected candidates will receive a formal letter from the City to include in their application package to King County. Since the final application must be submitted to King County by Tuesday, April 21st, please submit your application and resume to the City for review by Thursday, April 16th.
You can learn more about the CEOC here, and find the County’s application here.
If you have any questions about this or other City topics, please email me at aarrington@normandyparkwa.gov. Have a great week!
