The deadline for the Arbor Day Celebration Poster Contest is Approaching.

As part of the Saturday, April 30th Arbor Day Celebration, the city is hosting an all-age art poster contest.

The contest’s theme is “If I Were a Tree.” The theme is designed to provide wonder and inspire a greater appreciation of the beautiful assortment of trees that make up Normandy Park’s community forest. There will be four winning entries, one from each of the following categories: elementary school, middle school, high school, and adult. First-place winners for each category will receive a prize package. Winners will be announced at the Arbor Day Celebration. Click this link for more information on the poster contest. All posters are due to the City of Normandy Park by April 26, 2022.

Please join us Saturday, April 30th, at Marvista Park from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm for the celebration.

Become a Community Forester

Normandy Park Community Foresters is a stewardship program that focuses on forest restoration in Marine View Park. This volunteer group meets in the park on the first Friday of every month from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm! Community Foresters volunteers receive training in restoration ecology while restoring the upper forested section of Marine View Park.

Curious about what they do on the first Fridays of the month? Then please join an informational session on Friday, April 29th at 11:00 am at The Cove to learn more. All are welcome! To sign up and for further information, email: community.foresters@normandyparkwa.gov.

Census 2020

Did you know that the Census collects information on moving? Moving rates were at a historical low in 2021 since migration records were first collected in 1947. Click here to read about moving rates and explore data available on who is moving and where they are moving to.
