Be a part of the Citizen Budget Advisory Group

The City’s budget is one of the most important policy documents adopted by the City Council. It serves as a roadmap for how public funds are invested in essential services, such as public safety, parks, infrastructure, and programs that help make Normandy Park a great place to live.

Because the budget guides how resources are allocated across the community, we believe the process should include feedback from our residents. To strengthen that collaboration and ensure community voices are heard, we are seeking residents to serve on the Citizen Budget Advisory Group.

The Citizen Budget Advisory Group is made up of Normandy Park residents who want to play an active role in helping guide the City’s future. Participants will meet with the City’s leadership team to learn about City services, departmental operations, and the opportunities and challenges facing our community. Members will have the opportunity to ask questions, review budget priorities, and provide valuable input as staff develop the proposed 2027–2028 Operating and Capital Budget for City Council consideration.

Whether you are interested in local government, curious about how City services are funded, or want to help ensure community perspectives are represented in the decision-making process, this is a unique opportunity to become more engaged and make a meaningful contribution to the future of Normandy Park.
