NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the City of Normandy Park, Washington, will hold a public hearing on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall, as well as virtual via Zoom. The purpose of the hearing will be to take public testimony concerning Title 18.42 Wireless Communication Facilities. The purpose of this amendment is to update the code to improve telecommunications infrastructure and public safety response time. There will be a separate public hearing regarding amending the Normandy Park Municipal Code (NPMC) Title 18.08 Definitions and 18.15 General Development Requirements. The purpose of this amendment is to update the code related to low impact development standards.

The purpose of this notice is to invite interested parties to testify or submit written evidence or information regarding the action. Such comments become part of the record. Upon completion of the public hearing the Planning Commission shall forward its recommendation to the City Council. The decision of the City Council on this action may be appealed to the Growth Management Hearings Board.

The SEPA responsible official has determined that this Type V action is categorically exempt (WAC 197-11-800) from the requirements of Chapter 43.21 RCW.

The applicant is the City of Normandy Park Community Development Department. A copy of the draft ordinance will be available for review on the City website, and hardcopies can be requested.
