Parks Commission Vacancy – Position #2 – NEW
The City of Normandy Park encourages all citizens to consider involving themselves actively in city government by serving on a City Board or Commission. Applications for appointment are currently being accepted for Position #2 which is a partial-term position expiring in June 2027.
This is a Volunteer Position
The Parks Commission meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. Currently this meeting are held remotely via Zoom, when restrictions have been removed the meeting will be held in the Council Chambers at City Hall. The seven-member board was created to advise the City Council on matters regarding the expansion and operation of City parks and recreation programs. The Volunteer Park Commission members are appointed by the Mayor, with consent of the City Council, on the basis of their demonstrated interest in or their knowledge and support of the business of the City (NPMC 2.24).
