2025 Public Works and County Paving Projects

Project Summary

The scope of this project consists of two schedules:

Public Works Projects – The City of Normandy Park desires to complete a variety of capital improvement projects in 2025 to include beam guardrail improvements, basketball court, parking lot improvements, Public Works Shop site paving improvements, sidewalk replacements and intersection/ storm improvements.

King County Pavement Projects – The City of Normandy Park utilizes King County’s Road Services Division to contract paving projects.  The County’s contractor is slated to complete the work in late summer.

Project Update

Upcoming Road Work – August 5–15, 2025

Paving work will begin on Tuesday, August 5. The City is working closely with the County and their contractor to reduce impacts as much as possible. However, please note that we do not control the contractor’s exact schedule, including the specific times and durations of work.

Planned Work Schedule:

• 4th Ave SW (South of SW 174th St)

  • Paving Dates: Tuesday, August 5 & Wednesday, August 6

• SW 174th St (West of 13th Ave SW)

  • Grind & Prep: Thursday, August 7

  • Paving: Friday, August 8

• Marine View Dr (Edgecliff Dr to SW 197th St)

  • Work Dates: Monday, August 11 – Friday, August 15
