Walker Preserve Planting & Invasive Removal Event

Ready to get dirty for a good cause? Sign up for opportunities to help:

  • Plant and care for native trees and shrubs
  • Pull out invasive non-native plants
  • Clean up litter

The Miller/Walker Basin Steward and partners in the Miller/Walker Basin will host volunteer events in March-May to remove invasive plants (e.g., English ivy, Himalayan blackberry) and plant native species in Walker Preserve in Normandy Park. Events will build community and improve fish and wildlife habitat in this urban watershed.
