2026 Public Works and County Paving Projects

Project Summary

The scope of this project consists of two schedules:

Public Works Projects – Sound Pacific Construction, LLC has been hired by the City of Normandy Park to construct sidewalk, driveway entrances and storm improvements in various locations within the City. There may be heavy equipment moving about and there will be lane closures, but emergency access, local access, mail delivery, garbage service and pedestrian access will be maintained. Driveway access may be temporarily impeded where driveway entrance reconstruction will take place.  The contractor will notify property owners in advance.

King County Pavement Projects – The City of Normandy Park utilizes King County’s Road Services Division to contract paving projects.  The County’s contractor is slated to complete the work in late summer.

Public Works projects will begin Monday, May 4th, 2026.

• • • Tuesday, April 14, 2026 – City Council Approves Contract – Normandy Park City Council approved a contract with Sound Pacific Construction LLC to complete Public Works Projects in advance of the King County overlay.

• • • Friday, April 3, 2026 – Bid Opening – The city held a bid opening at city hall.  Nine bids were received. Contract was awarded to lowest qualified bidder.
