NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Normandy Park, Washington, will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, June 11 at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom and in-person at City Hall in Normandy Park. The purpose of the hearing will be to take public testimony concerning a draft ordinance No. 1062 regarding the Parks, Recreation, Open Space and Trails Plan (PROST Plan). The purpose of the ordinance is to update the Parks, Recreation, Open Space and Trails Plan which is a planning document that will guide parks projects for a period of 20 years beginning in June 2024.
The purpose of this notice is to invite interested parties to testify or submit written evidence or information regarding the action. Such comments become part of the record. Upon completion of the public hearing the City Council will direct further action. The action of the City Council may be appealed to the Growth Management Hearings Board.
The SEPA responsible official determined that this Type V action does not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment and issued a Determination of Non-Significance (DNS) whose appeal period ended on January 23, 2024.
Any interested party may submit written comments on this proposal. Written comments must be submitted to the Normandy Park City Clerk in person, by postal mail, or by email to Erin Smith, City Clerk, at esmith@normandyparkwa.gov before 4:00 pm, Tuesday, June 11, 2024.
The applicant is the City of Normandy Park. A copy of the draft legislation is available for review on the City website, and hard copies can be requested.
