Visit all the Normandy Park Parks

Summer is here, and we are all enjoying the fantastic sunny weather. When considering what adventure the family will have next, be sure to include a visit to all the Normandy Park parks.

The City of Normandy Park has over 100 acres of parkland, all of which are open to the public. Currently, the City manages seven named parks, one named preserve, and a variety of open spaces. Each provides a variety of recreation amenities and experiences for the Normandy Park community to enjoy.

If you are unfamiliar with any of the parks, you can review a listing of each on the city’s website. You can also rent areas at two of our major parks, City Hall Park and Marvista Park. If you want to reserve the Marvista Park Gazebo or the ballfields at City Hall, visit this link. People have hosted birthday parties, graduation gatherings, neighborhood get-togethers, and more.

Be sure to complete your summer by enjoying our parks!

Summer Concert Series Continues on Sunday, July 21st

Are you ready for our next summer event! Join us on Sunday, July 21st, for a performance by the Burien Actors Theatre (BAT). Starting at 5:00 p.m., come to Marvista Park for a performance of Fallen Angels. This performance is free and open to the public.

Bring a picnic blanket or lawn chair and enjoy this fantastic summer lineup in 2024. The complete schedule is available on the City’s website.

Save the Date for the Annual National Night Out

National Night Out improves the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement officers while celebrating our community. Come join us on Tuesday, August 6th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at City Hall Park. We’ll have free pizza, games, and crafts, and you can also meet our Normandy Park Police officers. Paws on Patrol, King County Library System, and local non-profits will also be in attendance!

If you have any questions about these items or any other city business, please get in touch with me at aarrington@normandyparkwa.gov. Have a great week!

City Manager Report – September 6th, 2024

The Puget Sound is vital to our community, and the City wants to encourage residents to celebrate and protect it!
Daily, pollutants from our neighborhoods flow through storm drains to nearby creeks, streams, and lakes, which flow into Puget Sound. We rely on clean water for our well-being, as do salmon, orcas, and other wildlife living in our shared habitat. What we do here has an impact on our local waterways and, eventually, on Puget Sound.
