Normandy Park Police Policies & Training Information regarding – Police Use of Force

The Normandy Park Police Department currently uses the Lexipol policy manual. Lexipol is the industry standard and is current with not only all State and Federal laws but also accepted best practices. Lexipol has stated that they believe their policy manual meets the requirements listed in #8CantWait. We will be verifying that as part of a comprehensive review of our entire policy manual. Our policy manual does not permit choke holds. In addition, the Normandy Park Police Department does not have or intend to purchase rubber bullets, flash bangs, or tear gas. We will continue to focus our energy and resources on community policing.
