For background, Council committees are policy review and discussion arms of the city council that have been created to assist the council in examining issues that may come before it in greater depth and detail. Committees study issues and develop recommendations for consideration by the council. Committees do not take binding action on behalf of the city.
Weekly Report – January 26, 2024
On Tuesday, January 23rd, Officer Malcolm Lee graduated from the Police Academy after 4 ½ months. He will now move into Field Training for the next 14 weeks, and after successfully completing this program, he will be released on solo patrol. Malcolm is a U.S. Navy veteran whose work history includes a social services background. We are excited to get Malcolm back and closer to full staffing.

King County Library System (KCLS) Book Locker Has Arrived!
Normandy Park now has its own KCLS 24-hour accessible book locker at Normandy Park City Hall. The book drop for returns has also been relocated next to the Locker. Hence, residents have a one-stop convenience for library book pickups, drop-offs, and online reservations of their borrowed materials.
