New Process for Inspection Requests
Effective May 1, 2023, all building, plumbing, and mechanical permit inspection requests for the City of Normandy Park will only be accepted when emailed to npir@normandyparkwa.gov. Permit applicants using the city’s SmartGov process can continue to request their inspections online.

Canceled City Council Study Session
Council Chambers 801 SW 174th Street, Normandy Park, WA, United StatesThe City Council is holding study sessions on the 4th Tuesday of the month beginning at 7:00 pm. This meeting will be held in person at Normandy Park City Hall and remotely using Zoom.

Weekly Report – March 29, 2024
There is still time to take the 2024 Citizen Satisfaction Survey. We plan to close it on Friday, April 5th. If you have not already, take the survey and let your voice be heard. So far, we have received over 350 responses, with over 170 comments. Overall, the feedback has been positive.
Arbor Day Poster Contest
As part of the festivities, the city is hosting an all-age art poster contest. The contest’s theme is “The Power of Trees” The theme is designed to provide wonder and inspire a greater appreciation of the beautiful assortment of trees that make up Normandy Park’s community forest. There will be five winning entries, one from each of the following categories: elementary school, middle school, high school, and adult. Entries may be used for outreach, education, and future tree-related programs and events.

The First Avenue Sidewalk Project should be starting Monday
Sidewalks are essential to our community. To build our pedestrian infrastructure network, the City is preparing to construct a new section of sidewalk on First Avenue. This new section will be located on the west side of First Avenue, between SW 174th Street and SW 176th Street.
First Avenue Sidewalk Project
1st Ave Sidewalk Project. City contractors are expected to start construction on the 1st Ave Sidewalk project between S 174th St and SW 176th St on Monday March 25th. Construction is expected to continue through mid-May with day and night lane closures to both North and South bound lanes. Expect delays in the area and please drive safely through construction zones.

On Tuesday, March 12th, the City Council held its regular monthly meeting. Here are the meeting highlights to help keep you informed. A resolution was approved, giving the City’s concurrence on housing projects recommended by the South King Housing and Homelessness Partnership (SKHHP).
