City Manager Report – October 11, 2024
On Tuesday, October 8th, the City Council held its regular monthly meeting. Here are the meeting highlights to help keep you informed. Three contracts were approved.
Contract renewal with SmartGov – The City renewed the contract with SmartGov to support the City’s online permitting system.
Contract with Placer AI – Placer AI is a location analytics company that collects geolocation data anonymously from mobile devices. This information will assist the City in developing city-specific analytics for any number of queries regarding customer behavior, commercial and business

On Tuesday, June 11th, the City Council held its regular monthly meeting. Here are the meeting highlights to help keep you informed. Park’s Commission Chair Ron Ebbers made a presentation on all the good works of the Parks Commission. The City Council held public hearings on two important planning documents, the Parks, Recreation, Open Space, and Trails (PROST) Plan and Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).

Two Public Hearings scheduled for June 11th — The City Council regularly holds public hearings. These hearings give residents the opportunity to voice their thoughts and opinions before the City Council acts on certain topics. On Tuesday, June 11th, the City Council will hold public hearings on the following items: Parks, Recreation, Open Space, and Trails (PROST) Plan – The PROST is ready for City Council consideration. This plan assesses the current condition of the parks, examines the community needs and desires identified in the outreach, forecasts future needs, and most importantly, proposes improvements to city parks, recreation programs, and open spaces.

Finally, after much effort, our traffic enforcement motorcycle is ready to start patrolling here in Normandy Park! Beginning Thursday, June 6th, weather dependent, you are likely to see a police motorcycle enforcing traffic laws including speeding throughout Normandy Park.  This new tool will be especially useful in the areas that are difficult to enforce using a standard police car.  Please obey the speed limit or our new police motorcycle unit will likely be making your acquaintance shortly!Â
Summer Camps for Kids
The City of Normandy Park is excited to announce that they will be hosting themed summer camps for children aged 3-6 again this summer! The camps will take place on Mondays through Thursdays from 1 pm to 4 pm. The available camp themes are: OCEANS from July 8-11, SAFARI, ANIMALS from July 15-18, ART & SCIENCE from July 22-25
